Our courses are available to civil servants, local government employees, devolved administrations and other public servants.
We run courses in Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle and pop up courses in Birmingham and Newport.

Emerging Technology Development Programme
The understanding and application of emerging technologies should be core to the practice of the Civil Service. Consequently, the GDS Academy has designed a new programme to create an ongoing and deployable team of specialists with the skills, knowledge and confidence to advise on the application of emerging technologies to solve government’s most difficult problems.

Data Science Accelerator
This cross-government programme is designed to build data science capability and drive innovation across the public sector. It is backed by the Government Digital Service, Office for National Statistics, Government Office for Science and Civil Service analytical professions.

User-centred design training
The user-centred design team runs training to help people design the best possible, user-focused services. These range from introductions for non-specialists, to advanced topics for digital professionals.
Places are only open to civil servants. Contractors employed with government are welcome on some courses.
